Introduction	My name is Naomi Tratar, and I live in Los Angeles, California with my two young sons. A native Californian, I grew up in Long Beach and graduated from UCLA with a degree in sociology. However, I soon discovered that artistic expression and not social work was my first passion. As a child, I was always designing and making my own jewelry, and this inner need to express my creativity is the kernel that ultimately evolved into my becoming a metalsmith. I began taking classes in jewelry design and techniques at the local colleges and art schools and became fascinated with the process in which metals can be transformed in the artist's hand. Since then, I have been displaying and selling my jewelry at festivals and arts shows.
