| Introduction | I have been living in France for 22 years, long enough to lose track of cultural references in the Old Country (the US), but not quite long enough to have fully absorbed French ones. Though I did cross some sort of threshold the day I realized that I actually knew the lyrics to a Claude François tune. A freelance writer-editor-translator-educator, I am the author of several editions of Frommer's EasyGuide to Paris and contributor to Frommer's EasyGuide to France.
