About me

Location Bridport, Dorset, United Kingdom
Introduction I grew up in a healthy and wholefood family environment where we would supplement our meals with wild food. We enjoyed weekends and holidays where the whole clan would get together and gather vast amounts of whatever wild food was especially abundant. I remember buckets full of elderflowers and old margarine tubs brimming over with rose hips, sloes, bullaces, hazelnuts and blackberries. From a young age I worked on smallholdings, farms and for vets. After nearly a decade of research, writing, experimentation and with a general love of all things good and naturally free, I’m now bringing up my own child (Oskar) and support my family with real food, wild food and with rural practises. Im particularly interested in the provenance, history and stories behind the food we eat. When I grow up I'd like to be a storytelling, ethnobotanist with the ability to reconnect people to the land and the food they eat.
