Introduction I grew up in Blantyre City and went to Zingwangwa Full Primary School. I then transferred to Lilongwe Government School where I was selected to Bwaila Day Secondary School. From there I proceeded to University of Malawi's Bunda College of Agriculture where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture. In 1987 I joined Bunda college of Agriculture as a Assistant Librarian Trainee. In 1991 I was given a Scholarship to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Agriculture at the University College of Wales Aberystwyth. I continued to pursue a Masters Degree in Libraianship which I obtained in 1993. Worked as College Librarian at Bunda from 1994 -2001. In 2001 I joined the American Embassy Public Affairs Section, as Information Resource Center Director in 2001. I went on to join the National Library Service as National Librarian in 2002. I have since served at this position up to now.
