About me

Occupation Visual creator
Location LADBROKE GROVE, WEST LONDON, United Kingdom
Introduction Based at the top end of Ladbroke Grove between 1995-1999, Studio Babylon was a loose collective of visual artists and urbanites. Although by day the studio was also home to 'Swifty Typografix', it was the after hours antics of the studio members that gave rise to the name 'Studio Babylon'. A place were you could go no matter what the time, a place were you could sleep after a heavy night clubbing or a place were you could share creative ideas and visions with like minded individuals. Over the four odd years people came and people went but the core unit was comprised of Fred Deakin (Fred Leicester), Robi Walters (the Bear), Kam Bhogal (Kamski), Mitch (MitchyBwoy), Mode2, Tyler Askew (Rude), and myself Swifty. Those days are long gone but this blog is about reliving those days and the events and people that touched our lives and bringing the story right up to the minute with current news on what the members are up to now alongside related cultural runnings ! thanks - Swifty
