| Introduction | Marie currently has one completed novel for which she is seeking representation and another in final revision, both are Women’s Fiction. Excerpts from her novel UNFORGIVABLE ACTS have been published in the anthologies See You Next Tuesday: The Second Coming 2008, and PEN-SIEVE, as well as in the Spring 2008 issue of The Linnet”s Wings and the Winter issue of Atticus. Winner of writing awards from the Santa Barbara Writers Conference, Dionysians, and Pariah Publishing for excerpts from WOMEN NEED NOT APPLY and from Mindprints Literary Journal’s- Masks and Mirrors Contest for her short story “Morning Glory” and West Side Story Contest for “Summer Vacation”. Other short stories have recently been published in Long Story Short, Houston Literary Review, Insolent Rudder, The Fiction Flyer, West Side Story, Stymie Magazine, Mindprints, MYTHOLOG, Timber Creek Review, Salome Magazine, Apollo”s Lyre, and others. For the past five years she has managed an on-line writer’s group, Write Stuff Extreme, for thirty published writers. Marie is also active in two local writers groups and Zoetrope. She lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband Michael. |
