Introduction Just an exchange forum for a group of friends interested in a range of things, including, but not only, the relationships between capitalism, media/ICTs and biotechnology. In this vein, certain strands of avant garde cultural theory typify an ascendant Panglossian perspective that may be [inadvertently]helping to foster a dystopian future. Therefore will be posting some stuff about how to identify different forms of "critical" thinking, but intend mostly to use the blog as a kind of notebook/scrapbook/archive of assorted material to follow up on in different journals, other websites etc.Another topic of interest:the posthuman militarised "aesthetic" of our current situation and where it could be leading us. This extends to consideration of how our patterns of study, work, and general relationships are impacted. Of course, postings will be erratic depending on other commitments. Given this blog's obscure purpose, I must paraphrase the tagline from "Alien", "in cyberspace no one can hear you scream..."
