| Introduction | I am a graduate of the Alberta College of Art and Design. I did graduate with distinction and yes I am tooting my own horn by telling you this. It is nullified by the fact that my BFA with distinction (Board of governors nominee) has in the last two years made me an excellent bartender. sigh. well, whatever, I'm not famous yet, but I'm working on it. It is very humbling doing well in school and then working in a bar with your prestigious degree. Maybe I should get my masters. That'll make me a REALLY good bartender. Anyways, I sound bitter, I'm not really. I'm working, I'm happy and I make enough money to work part time and still make art, that's more then a lot of fine arts grads can say. I also teach a contemporary hula hoop class for the city. I kinda stumbled into hooping. 3 years ago I couldn't keep a hoop on my waist. I just kept picking away at it until I was good i suppose...now I teach a beginner class. neat. I've also been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years now. I love clothes and design and have now started a blog so here goes nothing! I hope you enjoy my rants. |
