| Introduction | I’m Jane Jr. (aka Lady Rannveig Hrajshvelgsneys) & this is my blog! When I was young Mom said I could have anything I wanted, so long as I could make it. I rolled my eyes at then, but over time the more inspiring I found this to be. I began sewing clothes for historical reenactments over 20 years ago. I’ve been a merchant in the Society of Creative Anachronism (a historical reenactment group), specializing in men’s and children’s garb, the lead seamstress for a small specialty hat shop, & ran a successful bridal & formals alterations business. Throughout all this I have also been an active participant in reenactments, making all my own costumes & eventually my husbands & child’s costumes too. Currently I’m taking in the occasional historical & fantasy commissions, but mostly focusing on sewing for friends & family, pursuing my own sewing & crafting interests, & just spending more time playing in my shop. I plan to use this blog to share helpful things I have learned, & am still learning. Expect to find a mix of project diaries, tutorials, project planning & research posts, completely random out-of-left-field crafts, & possibly the occasional medieval recipe or feast menu. |
