Introduction | My dad wasn't really a fisherman but he's a good man and got me and my brother fishing poles when we were young. I loved it and would try to get him to take us fishing as often as possible. It got even worse once I got into fly fishing. I never even saw anyone fly fish or even heard of it before I bought my first fly rod of a friend when I was 12. He'd purchased it at wally word and already started losing interest. With help from people at the local fly shop (Anglers Inn) I SLOWLY began learning how to cast and even got into tying soon thereafter. My hobbies were very numerous and so I was often distracted away from fly fishing for every so often. Regardless, I could never pass by a water source without looking excitingly and wondering if it held fish and if so what kind, how big, and....that has never changed. I LOVE fishing. Skiing is a little different. My dad also started us on the slopes. I remember getting up on powder days when I was little and dropping "hints" of how bummed I was to have to go to school and "oh, dang they got 8 inches of new snow." I loved everything about snow. Especially sliding on it. Nothing better than fresh pow pow...well maybe. |
