My blogs
| Introduction | After earning a BA in political science from Hunter College '67, I gravitated to Washington, D.C. during the Nixon era and got a job on the staff of the House Education and Labor Committee. During 20 years in D.C., among other things, I co-founded the first Capitol Hill Women's Caucus, conceived and drafted what became the Women's Educational Equity Act, and was a lobbyist and legislative analyst for a variety of socially conscious organizations. Right before retiring in 2005, I spent 17 years as a writer/editor for a state university and earned a master's degree. |
