About me

Industry Arts
Occupation Artist, Writer and Art Activist
Location Denver, CO
Introduction I spent my childhood trapped in books, museums and all other curiosity which fed my imagination or got paint under my nails. When most teens would run into mischief with their first set of car keys, I ran to the DMA (Dallas Museum of Art) or fourth floor of the Dallas Public Library to render from the masters and explore the etymology of human discourse through paintings. I eventually saw these pieces in person, traveling the world with my sketchbooks and journals. I continued this insatiable curiosity in college by studying Studio Art at The University of North Texas and Creative Writing at The University of Denver. I also played with fire for a living after completing a year long glass blowing apprenticeship. Along with being in fine art galleries, boutique stores and a wide variety of art shows, I have been involved in many literary magazines. In the publishing of magazines, I have worked with all aspects of production: selection of material, layout, editing of poetry and prose. I believe in the hands-on approach, using a positive attitude and unfailing drive to lead by example in every project with which I have been involved.
Interests Autodidactic living: The day one stops learning, one should stop breathing. I enjoy walking around with a camera, rollerblading, waterskiing (and anything involving water), hiking, reading, travel, immersion in different cultures, museums, live music...

Lionesses have no manes. How do they know when they've grown up?

As my mom says, "Actions speak louder than words." Females of all species mature faster; but when dealing with males, we don't need to show it ;- ) It's nature's way of keeping the balance.
