Introduction Ashley Heyer Casey is an education professional with 15 years of experience as a gifted specialist focused on college advising. She is taking this course to complete her gifted certification. Seven years ago, Ashley developed a unique college and career course that uses a multi-faceted approach to help students discern their post-secondary path while gaining valuable tools for social-emotional growth at this critical juncture. She holds a certificate in College Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. Ashley understands the college application process well from the parent’s perspective. She has two children, a daughter who graduated from Dartmouth in 2021 and is a member of the Harvard Law School Class of 2026 and a son who is a Senior at Tufts University, Class of 2024. Ashley currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center in Livermore, Maine. She is a 19th century historian specializing on Reconstruction and the 14th Amendment. She is an avid skier and enjoys hiking with her two yellow labs, Beau and Shep.
