katie's BTECPA coursework 2010-12

About me

Introduction	My name’s Katie Burrows, I’m so happy that I’m doing this course, this means I get to dance and act every week more than once! My interest in drama started when I was 7, I started dancing when I was 8 and I starting singing when I joined my performing arts school ‘BOOST’ when I was 12. I am currently working for Pauline Quirk at the Pauline Quirk Academy (PQA). I’ve recently been promoted as an assistant choreographer in the musical theatre class and I thoroughly enjoy it. I’ve been working there since I was 13. This is a huge opportunity for me as I would love teaching performing arts to be my career, also on the 31st October I am going to London to audition to be in the PQA agency. I have passed exams on tap and modern and street. I have done freestyle dance and contemporary street classes. I also have taken many drama exams and have been awarded with merit and distinctions. This year is my 3rd year being in Rock Challenge and I love it! I’m also in my second year of doing my GCSE dance course which so far has been really great!
