| Introduction | I used to be retired. I spent my days playing pool or poker with a few snorkeling trips thrown in. The financial crisis hit me pretty hard and put a stop to all that. I don't want to leave my little piece of paradise but I also don't want to be poor in the 3rd world. This site is in part a journal of coming to the RP, of my current efforts to be able to stay and a place I can share what I've discovered about this unique and quirky culture. I hope to make it a good resource for other Westerners considering or already living in the Philippines. Your comments are always welcome. |
