| Introduction | Bennison farm is a smallholding of 8.4 acres between the villages of Thorrington and Great Bentley near Colchester, Essex. The land is currently in conversion to Soil Association Organic standards and we are starting a Community Supported Agriculture Scheme (CSA) in full from summer 2013. We are husband and wife Danny Steele and Meg Brooks-Steele and have recently moved to Essex from Devon. Danny has been the main grower for several organic farms and Megs background is in the applied arts. Through the CSA we are looking to give all local people access to good quality, organic , local food and to build a real sense of community around the farm.
