| Introduction | I am a 1994 graduate of the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University College of Law). I attended Central Michigan University and graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in broadcasting and journalism. My former law practice centered primarily on family law/domestic relations issues including divorce, paternity, guardianship, custody, visitation, parenting time and support. I have completed all the required Michigan State Court Administrator’s Office (SCAO) approved training programs in domestic relations and civil mediation and have also completed other mediation training including Elder Care/Guardianship mediation. I am a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution. After spending over 8 years litigating family law cases and seeing what the litigation process can do to a family I decided to leave the practice of law and focus on mediating disputes. I feel that dispute resolution through mediation is a much more appropriate, sensible and cost-effective way to resolve disputes. I am also a divorce coach. I am a Michigan native. I have 2 dogs. I enjoy classic rock-n-roll and my favorite band is The Beatles. |
