Introduction	I recently discovered I was born in the Year of the Pig. It figures. I could have lived my life quite fully without that information. And my keyboard misses strokes, so for the most part typos are the fault of my laziness (in not replacing my keyboard). Perhaps that's yet another pig trait. Why couldn't I have been born in the Year of the Swan? (Yes, I know there's no Year of the Swan.)

Favorite movies	The Player, State and Main (go you Huskies!), My Man Godfrey, Fargo, &c.
Favorite music	Oooolllld school Bowie, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, (translation: eclectic)
Favorite books	Way too many to mention. I love Anne Lamott (mostly pre-preachery, though). The Color Purple stunned me. Who doesn't like Salinger? (But mostly "Franny and Zooey.") Sparkle Hayter's first two Robin Hudson mysteries slay me. At the risk of sounding pretentious (and jumping on the bandwagon), Jane Austen is swell. The Long Way Home... Am bingeing on memoirs lately.
