| Introduction | D. Michael Fields joined UHD in early March 2013 as Dean of the College of Business. Fields comes to UHD from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he served as Dean of the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. While at NSU, he raised more than $10 million in his first three years of tenure and helped to establish a world-class sales institute, recognized as one of the finest sales education facilities in the nation. He also served on the board of trustees for both the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining NSU, Fields served as Dean of the College of Business Administration at Central Michigan University. In this role, he oversaw 100 full-time faculty members and approximately 2,500 students. Fields received a doctoral degree in marketing, a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas. |
