Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?

It depends on if we're talking about the waist of my pants or a person... I'm going to go with flexibility, though. I like to have the option to do something new, and I like a person that can take life as it comes because we're guaranteed to get surprises along the way. Flexibility helps to take changes and transitions in stride, which is invaluable... both in people and in waistbands.
