| Introduction | Michelle grew up in very rural Southeast Missouri. Dan grew up in suburban Northern New Jersey. In 1997 we moved to St. Louis City to be close to everything. After 12 years of city life, a huge problem emerged... we were, well, close to everything! So in 2008 we up and moved back to the country - to a little farmstead on 5 acres. We've since moved on to a 60-acre farm where we raise hens, meat chickens, turkeys, sheep, goats and pigs. |
| Interests | God, our children, our farm and animals, reading, and being outside. It's important to us to think about what we do and why we do it. We don't follow a path simply because others do. |

| Favorite music | Michelle's favorite genre's are classic rock, crossover country and classical. Dan's favorites are classic rock, classical, bluegrass and jazz. |
| Favorite books | Michelle mostly reads non-fiction but anything that is well written so it holds my attention and draws me in. Dan mostly reads how-to books: farming, agricultural, gardening, etc. Anything by Gene Logsdon, James Herriot, Wendell Berry, Scott and Helen Nearing. |
