| Occupation | Scientific Officer for British Geological Survey |
| Location | Ripley, Derbyshire, United Kingdom |
| Introduction | I'm a Derbyshire born lad, brought up in Ripley, schooled in Ripley, trained at Luton University, and eventually set free on the world at the now (unfortunately) disbanded Laskarina Holidays. After 4 years becoming brilliant with computers, I found the British Geological Survey and finally my university training was realised! My job means I get to design and build 3D geological models, play with maps all day long and when I'm not doing that I get to go into fields and drill boreholes. It's the best job in the world! When I'm not working I spend as much time with my son, Jordan, as is possible. He is of course equally interested in nature! |
| Interests | Birds, butterflies, dragonflies, geology, visiting zoos and collections with my son, booze, drilling boreholes, playing with clever computer technology |
| Favorite movies | Anything that is either stupidly funny (Carey/Stiller/Sandler), or completely soppy and romantic (Notting Hill, Four Weddings,500 Days of Summer). Read into that what you will! |
| Favorite music | Currently Florence and the Machine, Bruno Mars (mildly influenced by my son). The Cure and any 90's indie bands remain firm favourites though. |
| Favorite books | Terry Pratchet, Adrian Mole's Cappucino Years...funny! |
