| Introduction | Montrealer who grew up speaking French & English while enjoying high quality brews. Once in Asia, I forgot what good beer was until I visited the Netherlands and rediscovered varied full-flavored beers. On my return to Japan, I was determined to no longer drink happoshu or other bland beers and began to seek out craft beer. In 2012, during a trip home to Montreal I thought to myself "Someone must be writing about and covering the beer scene in Kansai in English, if not then I guess I'll do it". September rolled around and I was back in Kyoto, a quick search online showed that no one was really covering my local scene and thus Kansai Beer Lovers a Facebook Page was born. Eventually, the blog was created and I began writing for Beer Zen and other beer publications. |
