| Introduction | I'm a dental hygiene faculty member with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping students grow into confident, competent clinicians. I teach courses in local anesthesia, pharmacology, and serve as the clinic coordinator at a community college dental hygiene program. My work blends hands-on clinical instruction with classroom teaching and a whole lot of conversations about patient care, professionalism, and practical skill development. This blog was once a space for family memories, but it’s shifting gears. Now, it’s a place for sharing ideas, resources, and reflections geared toward dental hygiene education—whether that’s classroom strategies, clinic coordination, or collaboration with fellow educators. I still wear a lot of hats—mom, wife, teacher—and I love learning alongside others who care about student success in real and honest ways. |
