| Introduction | Being a transplant from Southeast Alabama and having a passion for assisting family caregivers it was just the "right move" in partnering with such an awesome team (AgingInfoUSA) here in Chicagoland. My experience with seniors began through my work in an extended care facility where in the beginning I really had no idea how to relate to not even my own grandmother. After using my musical gifts in the area of activities and experiencing such wonderful connections, hearing tremendous stories, and developing life-changing relationships, I now knew first hand the importance of caregiving and of this generation so many of us tend to forget. That led me to move on to spend the last 3 years researching advanced technology for Alzheimer’s Patients and their Caregivers and Portable PERS Devices. Upon moving to the North Suburbs of Chicago (my husbands home town) my path led me to partner with two extraordinary women who had a unique vision of connecting adult caregivers in the workplace to the trusted resources needed to care for their loved ones. |
