About me

Location Bend, Oregon, United States
Introduction I’ve been obsessed with art since my early teens. Around the age of 12 or 13 I started drawing and couldn’t stop. As a young child, no one thought I was especially gifted as an artist, but I kept drawing, and then started painting, and was determined to take my passion for art as far as I could. I received a BA in Art in 1986 from a local college in New Jersey where I grew up, but geared my education toward the commercial side and spent about a decade of my early career in advertising as an art director, then later worked in marketing in the corporate world. In 2002, I was able to turn my focus back to fine art, then began teaching in 2004. Currently living in Bend, OR with my husband and son, I teach workshops in pastel and oil around the country. I’m a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society and the Pastel Society of America, and an Eminent Pastelist with the International Association of Pastel Societies.
