| Introduction | I am a drop-out from the corporate world--mostly the financial services industry where I practiced the black art of human resources management. (Remember Catbert from the Dilbert cartoons?) Now I sell products to backyard birdwatchers. I have a two cats, Nicholas and Nora Nick is my furry delight--wise, brave, silly, loving and incredibly soft. He is a celebrity in my store and gets much more attention than I do. As he should. Nora is our not-quite-kitten in residence. She is a trouble-maker and a million laughs. She climbs up to the ductwork 13 feet up. She rolls in all the birdbaths. She's sweet as can be. I have a house in the woods in Kent, CT, that is my refuge. It's also a refuge for bears, raccoons, coyotes, bats, birds and other creatures. |

You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?
Remember to your old friends you're still that goofy 18-year-old who looked as if she were 12.
