| Introduction | I am a wife and stay at home mother of three. I struggled to learn when I was in school because of dyslexia and some other learning delays. My first grade teacher told my mother I was the stupidest child she had ever seen. While I overcame many of my difficulties, I still have a dyslexic brain. I have a knack for finding the right program to reach each child. I have been tutoring in my home for several years and I thought it might be nice to start a blog where I can upload some of my materials and let you know about events. If you know someone who would benefit from my tutoring, please let them know about me! I tutor the basics in reading, phonics, spelling, writing, math, and also offer enrichment classes to build confidence and challenge accelerated students. I teach with the classical method, which lays a solid foundation with the building blocks of each subject before going on to more complicated things! I believe in LOTS of memory work (through songs, games, and repetition). While I have favorite tools, each child receives a program specifically designed to meet their needs.
