| Introduction | I'm a 53-year-old college professor (and department chair - perhaps therein lies my discontent) in the Midwest. I'm not particularly interesting (at least not to myself), but others, including my own husband, seem to find me somewhat "eccentric" (which I take as a compliment). I'm spiritual, but not a fan of organized dogma (half pagan, half Buddhist - a mixed-breed Pagabu?) I dream of a simpler life, but find my real world getting more and more complicated every day. I love my job. I hate my job. I want to live on a mountaintop and write poetry...but still be able to teach and do research. And there needs to be a river or lake nearby so I can fish. |
| Interests | Everything - I'm an eclectic. Reading, fishing, natural living, meditation, finding peace. I'm just not too good at most of these, except for reading. I'm an experimenter - my background inclues professional dance (ballet, jazz, tap), acting, tae kwon do (I'm a second-degree blackbelt), massage and Reiki...there's little in this world in which I am NOT interested. |
| Favorite movies | Fargo, Halloween (the original, not the sucky remake) and similar really bad B horror movies, the Twilight and Harry Potter movies (I REALLY need an escape)...again, I'm eclectic. |
| Favorite music | Depends on the day...again, pretty much everything. Can the word "eclectic" be overused? |
| Favorite books | The Stand and - at least lately - anything that doesn't require me to think too much. Oh...and anything written by Pema Chodron. |
What kind of tape is best for creating a sculpture?
Duct of course. It works for EVERYTHING!!!
