Introduction	I shouldn't be here. In my heart I'm a girl from another time, a time when you ripped open letters like mysterious presents, when you courtesied to strangers, knew the name of your butcher and married the first man you fell in love with. But I am here, so in the spirit of making the best of a bad lot, I engross myself in books and try to encourage others to do the same. Luckily I work as a Children's Book Buyer so I don't have to stand and scream at passersby from a street corner. So I read as much as I can and I'm hyper lucky in that I get advance proofs to dangle with evil intent before the eyes of irritated competitors. And that's all you need to know. That, and I get hungry for Starbars about six times a day. I'm not sure why that's relevant.
Favorite movies	Don't judge me but 1980s Melanie Griffith movies are a bit of a guilty pleasure, I said don't judge me!
Favorite books	The Hunger Games, Knife of Never Letting Go, 84 Charing Cross Road, Pride and Prejudice, Wives and Daughters, The Book Thief, Serious Concerns, ... and, em, Chekhov, yah, Chekhov, ahem.
