| Introduction | I started this blog in 2010. I was a mom with 3 kids ranging in ages from 29, 24 & 9. My oldest, Kristen, is married with 2 daughters back in NC. In 2011, she had a 3rd daughter. My middle child, Kelley, works as a daycare teacher and goes to school about an hour away from us. My youngest, Malachy, is from my second marriage to Steve. Steve also has a high school aged daughter who lives with her mom but visits with us often. I've been a stay-at-home mom for all of my three kids, through most of their young lives, only going back to work when the girls were older. Since Malachy was born short years ago, I've been home with him. I thoroughly enjoy taking care of my family, the house, the property and the little petting zoo we've acquired through the years. I'm happiest when physically fit and enjoy taking my belly dance classes, yoga classes, hiking and just plain staying busy. Steve, Malachy and I now live in the Gold Country, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mts on 5 beautiful and serene acres. At 50 years old, I am finally living my dream of being surrounded by nature with the ones I adore. |
| Interests | Moving my body, mostly through dance (belly dance especially), yoga, stretching and/or hiking. We have three Great Pyrenees dogs and a small petting zoo (including 1 cat, 1 bird, 2 bunnies, 1 14 yr old toad, 1 lizard and 4 Barbados sheep) that I care for and enjoy being with. I do like to pick up a good book, but everything else is put aside until I'm done, so I can't do that too often. At this time in my life, I'm very interested in making sure my boy grows up to be a kind, generous, smart, loving human being. |
