Occupation | Owner, Webmaster -- TransitHistory | Publications Director, Webmaster -- Boston Street Railway Association |
Location | Fitchburg, MA, United States |
Introduction | A native of Bedford, Massachusetts, Mike Prescott has been a life long transit enthusiast and Bostonian at heart. Graduating from Bedford High School in 2004, Mike went on to study at Suffolk University in Boston before moving to Fitchburg State College, where he is currently pursuing a degree in Professional Communication. |
Interests | Since 2002, Mike has been an active member of the Boston Street Railway Association, a nonprofit organization devoted to the rich mass transit history of New England and the Boston area. In 2006, he was elected Publications Director, a post which he serves proudly. He also acts as the organization's webmaster, having created a brand new website, www.thebsra.org, in Fall 2006. |
Favorite Movies | Mike is also an accomplished artist and urban photographer, having been featured in the Bedford Minuteman as well as several art exhibitions. He maintains a personal website at www.mikeprescott.com. |
Favorite Music | His biggest project, TransitHistory, is the culmination of several years of idea development, and remains a "work in progress." Ultimately, he hopes to create a "virtual transit museum" for the city of Boston on the website, educating newcomers and life-long residents alike about the importance of public transportation in Boston, and its role in the city's future. |
Favorite Books | Mike currently resides in Fitchburg, Massachusetts (Fitchburg Station on the Fitchburg/South Acton Commuter Rail line) and welcomes your questions or comments via the link below. |
