| Introduction | I was raised in a Mennonite home. Contrary to popular opinion, being a Mennonite does not mean I have a horse and buggy parked outside my door. Well, I have a horse, but that's another and non-religious story since I also have a car and a microwave and a TV and, and, and.... I am a non-church-going Mennonite, a non-baptised Mennonite, which, to some Mennonites, means I am not a Mennonite at all, or a 'fallen-off' Mennonite and to others, that I'm not ‘really' a Christian. But, whatever. I love God and I always have and Hearth and I like to talk about our ideas about Him. We both agree in principle that we can't be right in all our ideas, but probably secretly we each believe the other is a little nuts and we only need a little more time to convince the other person of the correctness of our view. |
