| Introduction | Chris Tatum may well be a veteran of the television news industry but he wears that title reluctantly. “Sometimes veterans are thought to be old school or out of touch,” he says directly but not the least bit defensively. “I’ve worked hard to remain relevant while the business has changed around me.” That relevance combined with Chris’ no-nonsense approach and slightly sarcastic, sometimes irreverent style has opened doors for him to work in some of the biggest, most highly regarded television markets in the country. He currently works at Nashville’s Fox 17 as a freelance reporter. Before that he held the distinction as WSMV TV’s Problem Solver where he tackled viewer’s consumer issues and got them resolved with a little attitude and a lot of personality. Never one to back down from a challenge, Chris has left an indelible mark on the local news front. He has also filed reports for several networks including CNN, ABC and The Weather Channel.
