Introduction	I am a middle aged (middle aged assuming I live to 96) former runner. I fulfilled my dream of qualifying and running the Boston Marathon even though I had been diagnosed with arthitis in my right knee - not to mention prior reconstruction of my left knee. I have started biking in the hope to maintain fitness and find a release for my competive nature. I have run 6 marathons (three post knee surgery) and am aiming for a century ride. A busy family and work life leaves me little time other than the early morning hours to get my rides in.
