| Introduction | Jack and I have three beautiful boys, Samuel Jay and Tyler Allen born December 5, 2009 and Lucas Brian born December 4, 2011. After more than one year of trying to conceive on our own and another year of various fertility treatments, we finally turned to IVF in April of 2009. While we knew twins were a possibility, we were still shocked and maybe even a little terrified of what life would bring with two babies. The pregnancy went well and since I was let go from my job as an auditor, I was able to take naps, hang out at the Lamers pool, get the babies' room ready, and even go for runs up until about 6 or 7 months pregnant. Life has sure changed since the boys' arrival on December 5, 2009 but I wouldn't change a thing. We truly have been doubly blessed. We decided to try again using one of our frozen embryos (just one -- not taking any chances for another set of twins) in April of 2011 and our luck struck again. Lucas Brian arrived almost one day and two years shy exactly of his brothers and has been a beautiful blessing in our lives. |
