Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?

To me, its flexibility since I love the idea of "Bending like a reed, and not standing like an oak." During the storms of life, it's better to bend and survive, than to break because one is not able to move with change or challenges. I don't want to be left as firewood after a storm!
