Introduction	One way or another over the last five decades I have been involved in photography. My interest really began in Germany in the mid fifties when I was in the Air Force. After leaving the military I received a degree from the University of Missouri with a major in Photojournalism. I then spent about ten years, give or take, at National Geographic Magazine as a photo editor. I left the Geographic to teach photography at RIT in Rochester, NY and subsequently returned to Missouri to teach in their Journalism program. While there, I obtained a Master's degree and, in 1980, accepted a position at the University of Memphis, where I remained until my retirement in May of 2011. __________________________________________________________________ A couple of notes: This blog was initially started as an aid to photography students.
