| Introduction | My small mixed-media collages include snips of newspaper, magazines, and found objects. I enjoy the process of building up many layers of color, texture and images; sketching and adding text completes each piece. I am drawn to the idea of looking at ordinary things in a new way through my collages. The wool from our seven sheep has become a new source of inspiration as I explore creating with fiber. My needle-felted pins and decorative fiber pieces are made by "drawing" with colorful yarns and bits of wool. My love of collage carries into these fiber pieces as I layer them with my three favorite things - wool, wire, and words. |
