Introduction	I recently graduated from college with honors; majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I am making this blog as an interactive tool for teachers and students to follow the research that I am currently doing in Antarctica. I am working with the Priscu Research Group and we are focusing on the extremophiles that inhabit the ice layers covering the major lakes of the dry valleys. I hope to make this blog an up to date representation of what research in the field really is and what opprotunities scientific research can hold for young people today.
