Introduction	Manu's Perspective came about as a result of the observed misperception of young Black males in our society. Due to this misperception, many young men in our society are often mislabeled and viewed as negativistic influences on society. Everyday I encounter the opposite. I encounter young Black men taking care of their children, families, mates and responsibilities. I observe real life examples that negate the myth popularized by media of the thugged out, misogynistic, criminally inclined Black male. Manu's perspective came about out of the necessity to define ourselves for ourselves. Manu's perspective also seeks to create the understanding of our viewpoint amongst those who do not understand our culture.
