| Introduction | After finishing a bachelor's degree in psychology at UNSW I worked in university administration, international banking management and training before studying at Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC). A year working in my church, further studies with Summer Institute of Linguistics and a year studying French in the alps (France side) later, I moved to Benin to work with SIM. I worked in administration and with a youth group mainly for my first 2 1/2 years, with occasional relief Bible college teaching in the north. My next term was in the south learning the Fon language, running a Fon Christian literature production project, teaching in women's groups, and leadership training, with various committee responsibilities as well. The third term was more of the same, but the leadership development was now a Bible School. I left Benin in 2003, spent time at home in Australia and finished a doctorate in the US before transferring to Burkina Faso, where I now teach in a missiological institute (training African mission leaders) and an evening Bible school. |
