Introduction | As a liberal arts major (English graduate student, actually), I must plead the fifth on such things as political leanings (because I get in trouble either way). Beyond that I suppose I like readin' and writin' and 'rithmetic (just kidding). I'm not fond of math, though I've always done it well (unusual for an English person, I know). I'm a cat person (but only in the fall and winter; I don't like cats in the summer and spring when they shed). My favorite color is blue. I have decent musical abilities (enough to sing in church choirs and play the piano for church once in a while). I am thoroughly religious and spiritual, claiming The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as my religion, but I respect all others who seek to better themselves through worshipping a more powerful Being. I'm antisocial, though I do have a few friends. I study Victorian literature (Dickens, Tennyson, Brontes, and the like); I focus on Victorian periodicals, primarily for reasons I haven’t discovered yet. I claim no favorite book (how can I privilege one text over another?), and I’m a feminist as much as I allow myself to be. There’s that. Anything else you want to know? |

You're going to the moon! What did you forget to pack?
Nothing! I am always prepared (I grew up with three brothers, all Eagle Scouts, so I know about preparedness). But I might forget my camera. I rarely take pictures of anything. Cameras steal your soul, after all...
