| Introduction | MISSION STATEMENT: I have had a long history of endurance riding - completing many double century (200 miles) and century (100 miles) events. Unfortunately in 1994 I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma. This benign tumor was growing on my left balance nerve affecting balance and caused hearing loss. Fortunately I was referred to Dr. Brackmann at The House Clinic in Los Angeles. Due to the steady hand of Dr. Brackmann and the absolute top level care provided by his staff - I was able to recover and get back on my bike again. I have been wanting to give back in some way to The House Clinic and also bring awareness to Neural Tumor Research. The House Clinic is the forerunner in this field as well as other neurological ailments. I have safely completed over 160 double century events, many triple century events, Three 400 mile events and eight 500+ mile ultra marathon races since my tumor was removed. Please support The House Clinic any way you can. This is an amazing organization. |
