| Introduction | Filipino Catholic priest who went to Japan as a Salesian of Don Bosco on August 2, 2000, 8 months newly ordained! After a year and a half of Japanese studies, I was at the Ikuei Salesian Polytechnic School as an English teacher. A year with the Catholic Tokyo International Center gave me more opportunities to work with the Church in Japan for migrants. Then, a 2-year stint as Assistant Parish Priest in Yamato, Kanagawa, under the Diocese of Yokohama. After a year as Guest Priest in Shizuoka, I became Assistant Parish Priest in Yukinoshita Catholic Church in Kamakura City. I was incardinated into the Diocese of Yokohama in 2010 and appointed parish priest of Atsugi and Tsukui effective Easter Monday of 2012 (April 9th). I was parish priest of Atsugi for 3 years. After much prayer, discernment and reflection, I decided to go back to the Philippines. I came back on the same day I left the Philippines 15 years ago.
