Introduction | I am a member of SCBWI and the Writers' League of Texas. You can find a few book reviews, interviews, and some conference highlights in the links below. I hope you find something useful, or at least entertaining, here. |
Favorite Movies | All the 80s "Brat Pack" flicks especially St. Elmo's Fire, Juno, Napoleon Dynamite, Sweet Home Alabama, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Kill Bill, Fargo (it's funny you just have to get it), Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman, Andre (I'm a sucker for those sad wet eyes) |
Favorite Music | I like most all music but I have to admit I can't really get into rap -- a fact my kids appreciate since it's one less thing they have to be embarrassed over my using to "try and be cool." |
Favorite Books | I keep adding to this list and it's getting ridiculous so I've decided to approach it from another angle. My favorite books are: The ones that make people think, laugh, or cry -- especially if they reach a child or young adult. If a book stirs an emotion or makes me smile when I read it, it becomes one of my favorites. Like Buddy the Elf says, "Smiling's my favorite!" And laughing, and questioning, and longing, and wondering... |
