| Introduction | I am an unemployed foreign JD. If U.S./ABA JDs and certified paralegals are having a hard time getting a job right now, just imagine how it is for me. I have to contend with not only finding a job, but a job that will sponsor my H-1B. I have to pay NYC rent, food, health insurance, etc., while reviewing for the bar and maintaining lawful nonimmigrant status. As if being unemployed and at the mercy of USCIS/DHS weren't enough, I am also a NY bar flunker. Still, everyday I wake up with fervent hope that things could only get better from here. |
