Introduction I began selling timeshare in 1986 in Branson, MO, In the 80's timeshare was simple, you bought a week of usage for a time in the year when you vacationed. Use it at your home resort or trade it through RCI, suddenly resort companies were running out of inventory, so up came the points program,It sounded good but it doesn't work so well. Resorts had found a way to make millions more, when they would run low on inventory, they could up the amount of points it takes to stay in the units. It never ends. Also in 1986 you could buy a week of resort use for $6500, today enough points to stay a week during prime time you can easily spend 25 to 65,000 dollars. And you are not guaranteed you can get into the resort. With it being so much more expensive, sales people are misrepresenting, tricking and lying people into joining. I became sick of these tricks. So I became sales manager of a travel club, I was ed to believe travel cubs were the answer to timeshares. Then I found out the truth, they are also scams. I became a whistle blower on my boss and have left the business entirely, spending my time helping people who were scammed, get their money back.
