| Introduction | I'm a sales professional who currently stays home with our 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter in the Seattle area. I always tell people that my children are, by far, my most demanding employer to-date. In fact, nobody told me that staying at home was really like being promoted to management... and being stuck with a bunch of people on a performance plan. Juggling kids' activities, household responsibilities, and personal committments rarely leaves time to focus on personal growth. That's why I created this blog. I've learned that despite my best efforts, there seems to be no magic formula that slows life down, gives me more hours in the day, or predictably plots life. As mothers, all we can do is try to leave enough reserve in our tank to deal with life's little surprises because they inevitably come our way. I'm learning to celebrate the little things that make my day-to-day life easier. They feel like a little victory in an endless and impossible quest for efficiency and perfection. I hope that you might find a few nuggets in my blog that give you that "AHA!" victory feeling and allow you to make some time for yourself. Afterall, Mama Needs Maintenance. |
