Introduction	She also has Certificates in several areas of Contemporary Dance, obtained in Barranquilla and Bogotá, Colombia as well as in Cuba where she studied for a period of her life. This training, added to her initial participation since early age in the folkloric dances from Barranquilla’s Carnaval, motivated her to involve music and dance in the process of teaching. She was a member of Palma Africana Folk School, Kore Dance Theater Group, and attended workshops about Dalcroze Methodology at Robert Abramson Dalcroze Institute at Juilliard School in NYC.
